You may have noticed an increase in dog fouling of verges and public footpaths around the villages. Apart from being unpleasant and a health risk, it is also illegal. If anyone witnesses a dog fouling public areas such as pavements, grass verges and public footpaths and the owner failing to pick up the poop, you are encouraged to report the incident to the dog warden at Sedgemoor District Council or any parish councillor . All reports will be treated as confidential. When reporting you will need to be able to identity the offender. For Sedgemoor District Council's dog warden telephone 0845 408 2540 or e-mail customer.services@sedgemoor.gov.uk.
