Community Transport

Added on 25 April 2011

Mendip Community Transport would like to extend their Dial-a-Ride Community Car Scheme into Sedgemoor and are looking to recruit volunteer car drivers. Their recruiting campaign includes the following advert:

Mendip Community Transport Needs You!

Do you have a day or a morning or afternoon to spare?

Would you like to do something really worthwhile?

Would you like to help make a difference to people's lives?

Do you own your own car?

If your answer is yes to all four questions, then we would love you to become a volunteer car driver with us at MCT.
You would be transporting elderly, frail and disadvantaged people to medical appointments at a variety of Hospitals.

We would cover your insurance situation whilst working with us, i.e. Loss of No Claims Bonus, Excess and also Public liability.

In return we will reimburse your costs with a competitive mileage rate.
