Beware of Ticks on the Hills!

This summers appears to be a good 0ne for the tick population. To reduce the possibility of getting ticks people should avoid walking through long grass and bracken, especially if they are wearing shorts. It's better to wear light trousers and walking boots or shoes.... and remember to check yourself, and if you have one, your dogs whenyou get home. If you're unlucky and 'pick up a tick' you will notice a small black or dark brown 'spot' and a red area around the area of the bite. Be careful when removing the tick as any remnants could cause an infection. Read the information below to find out more.
