Litter-Picking day is February 11th

by Richard Parker - 16:25 on 16 February 2012

Thanks and well done the volunteers! Thanks also to Sedgemoor who supplied all the gear and collected ALL our bags.

It's a shame that, even after tidying up all our roads - A38, A371, Old Coach Road, Webbington Road, Church Lane, Vernon Lane, Barton Road, etc. the very next day saw a lot of rubbish discarded from cars - from those that parked to enjoy our countryside to those passing through and throwing stuff out of the windows.

Fly tipping is a continuing problem so if you spot someone dumping rubbish, or even garden waste, onto the verges this represents an offence so please report it either to our clerk or Sedgemoor on 0845 408 2540.

Lovely website! I enjoy walking in the Mendips although my pants keep falling down which is a bit of a pain especially when it's raining. Keep up the good work!
